Yas Island is a leisure, entertainment and tourism hub in Abu Dhabi, UAE – considered as one of the renowned tourist destinations in the middle-east. Yas Island hosts several entertainment and leisure attractions, including theme parks, entertainment venues, Motorsports, shopping and dining facilities, outdoor concert venue, and many other unique experiences. Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Beach – and the list goes on…
Yas island is spread across an area of 25 sq.km. Visitors and guests faced difficulties in getting to know about various amenities and entertainment options available in Yas Island. Information-gathering process, service enquiry, and ticket-booking tasks required manual intervention and were time-consuming. All these factors affected the overall Guest Experience.
Implemented user-friendly, interactive self-service kiosk terminals and a visitor portal to enhance the overall GX. The platform is designed to improve the access to various services, offer seamless information dissemination, and facilitate automated ticket booking.
Yas Island visitors could access the kiosk terminals deployed at strategic locations and explore all the attractions with few taps on the kiosk screen.
Moreover, the visitors could easily browse through the list of available attractions, gather useful information and add desired experiences/items to their cart for purchase.
Visitors could make use of the Visitor Portal to access Yas island attractions through QR codes placed at multiple locations like transport hubs, transport vehicles etc. Additionally, users who started their journey on a kiosk terminal could easily perform a transition to their mobile devices by simply scanning a unique QR code generated by the kiosk machine.
The Visitor Portal empowered the visitors and guests to manage Yas experiences independently, eliminating the need for human assistance.
Thus, the streamlined visitor journey significantly improved the overall Guest Experience (GX), leading to improved visitor engagement and increased ticket sales.
The Self-service GX platform became instrumental in improving the overall operational efficiency of the entertainment destination.
